About Me
Starting therapy is a courageous step. My name is Molly Dean and at "A New Path" my goal is to provide an accepting and empathetic environment where you can feel safe, supported and respected throughout the therapy process. I work with adult individuals and their families and partners if needed.
I earned my Masters Degree at Arizona State University. I specialize in working with those experiencing issues including but not limited to: Maternal Mental Health (postpartum depression and/or anxiety), PTSD/ trauma, past abuse (sexual/physical/emotional), mood disorders, depression, anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, body image and relationship issues. I am passionate about helping women and families struggling with infertility, miscarriage, postpartum depression/anxiety and/or birth trauma. I myself have been touched by or personally experienced many of the issues that I treat, including infertility, miscarriage and postpartum issues. I feel it is helpful to talk to someone who "gets it" and has walked where you have walked. I truly love what I do and feel fortunate that I get to witness the growth that I see my clients make on a daily basis.
I integrate a blend of therapies that best meet my client's individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Mindfulness based techniques. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), which is a highly effective form of trauma treatment. I also hold a PMH- C, which means I am certified in treating maternal mental health issues. My hope is that I can provide you with a strong therapeutic relationship that will assist you in achieving a sense of self-acceptance while on your journey to a deep and meaningful life. I look forward to meeting you.
